Hiya, I’m George – I’m a multi-instrumentalist & producer specialising in folk, Americana, and indie rock. I primarily work out of my studio just outside Folkestone and have spent the last few years helping artists make records they get excited about. Anything from traditional fireside ballads to absolutely raucous stuff – always with sensitivity.
I’m a musician myself as one half of Lorel (a folky project alongside my better half, my wife) – and our debut album (that I self-produced) was chosen by BBC DJ Abbey McCarthy as one of the best albums of the year when it was released.
I’ve worked with a number of artists from all over the world remotely, as well as artists literally right at home. My main aim with any project is to maximise the impact of a song. That can be through great arrangement and production (I.e, recording well from the get-go and making sure that the parts fit compellingly), sensitive mixing, or competitive, punchy, and expansive mastering.

My approach to recording is primarily collaborative: it’s not an in-and-out job – I’m here to help you achieve your vision. That means being a gentle guide & fresh pair of ears when needed but, most importantly, ensuring we get it right at the source and keep it right throughout.
I’ve done a lot of live performance, having spent around 10 years in a psych-rock band getting heartily watered on England’s pub-gig circuits – so I love capturing the energy of a great live performance and then massaging that as much as possible in the mixing and mastering phase to ensure that listening’s always a journey.
Crucially, when working together, I’m adding my creative touches throughout, but it’s always your music so, fundamentally, if you’re not happy then I’m not happy.
But wait, there’s more!
Sometimes, the production requirements to take a recording from great to hawt-daaaamn can be as simple as adding a couple of shakers or some backing vocals. Sometimes it also needs to be left alone! But, when needed, I can also help bring your songs to life through adding guitars, bass/double bass, keys, drums, and string/orchestral arrangements – again, whatever the song needs and always in collaboration.
